Melanie, you are amazing! I don't care if your voice was shaky, you sounded great! Props to you for even singing in front of so many people. I love it! Keep it up. I think the more you do it the easier it comes, or not I don't know, I haven't done it enough.
That was cool Mel! I wish it had been your voice on the back-ups; that always bugged me a little about the karoke cds (or tapes back in my ancient life :)). Was this a school talent show? Are you in 9th grade? Sorry it's hard for me to keep track of things like how old I am, how many weeks old my baby is, what grades my sisters in are in, etc.
For Em and the rest who will need details on Mel's "Premiere": Middle school talent show, prizes were awarded, she's in eighth grade, I only recorded part of the song because I wasn't sure how long the batteries would last, so I chose the second half (and snapped a couple still shots on the first half)... She looked so cute, sounded great, didn't move to the music but handled herself well, had good friends there to cheer for her, and generally made us proud! Yep, she's your sister, all you singing sibs! Hugs, Yomama
American Idol here we come! You have more guts than I'll ever have.G heard it in the background and said "Is that Mel? She sounded really good at the beginning." What that means is you have a really good voice, how can you not be a little nervous? I'm sure Michelle Branch was too! You go girl!

Thank you Benny!
Ya I think you're right about the easier part! I hope so at least!
I love you!

"Oh, Mel, you sing like a star!" said Nathan. :) It really was good. It's a good song too! I sing it in the car all the time. :)
