Soccer freaks

Melanie loved her soccer season and is really sad its over. They didn't lose any games, and tied only 1 game all season. She learned so much and feels like she became a better player this year. She mostly plays defense. In the championship game it started to lightning and the game was cut about 20 minutes short. Her team still won, 2-1, but since the game wasn't completed so she didn't quite feel like they won, if that makes sense.

Suzie also loved her soccer season. Their team was nearly undefeated with a couple ties and only 1 loss. She played mostly midfield and forward.

You soccer champs you. I am glad you are getting into sports lots earlier than the rest of your siblings (except me). You will be healthier and better at the sports than we all were. Keep it up.
Love your physical therapist brother. :)

You both look like real soccer players! You look good out there. Its funny Mel looks like a mix of mom and me in that picture of her on the field.

AJ, I think she looks just like you. I couldn't believe it. Nathan, who doesn't think anyone looks like anyone else said it too! And Ben, I started swimming in 7th grade, so I think I started about the same time as you, eh? :)
Love your private school office manager sister :)

Wow! You both look so athletic and serious while you're playing. I definitely see AJ in Mel. I remember playing a form of soccer in the backyard w/ Maralee Skinner, Tyler Young and even Ben when we weren't being too competitive toward each other. (Mel and Suz probably don't have a clue who those friends from third gradish were). :) Keep up the fun and plan on playing a bit w/ the twins at least; they both love soccer but we aren't willing to put them in too many activities right now; we've dropped everything but music, which they're really enjoying--so are the parents. :) (No that doesn't mean we'll never let them play sports or that we'll never move to China--Darren's going to find out more about some future job possibilities this afternoon....) ramble, ramble

I didn't notice this before, but isn't it interesting that you both play different positions? I think it's funny how everyone in our family has their own thing and even though Mel and Suz are playing the same sport, they play in different ways. It's better that way -- that we're all different instead of like that family in Utah with 6 girls who are all ballroom dancers. Boring! :)

I agree Alisa!
Diversity is good!
However, I am extremely jealous of the family of 6 ballroom dancers!

:D
